What’s On for half term in Cornwall

Whatever the weather, there’s something for all the family this February half term in Cornwall. Whether you like to get crafty, get out and about or get your skates on!

14 February

Winter Tree ID
Can you tell an oak from an ash or recognise our native trees? Lanhydrock (National Trust), Bodmin. 10am – 12pm. Adults £5, Children £2.

14 – 16 February

Mawgan Church Daffodil Festival
West Cornwall is famous for its daffodils and the church will be full of every variety plus music, embroidery, photographs and paintings of them. Tea, coffee and home made cakes available 10.30am – 4.30pm with soup served 12 – 2pm. Near Helston.

14 – 22 February

Trerice half term craft activities
Free craft activities all week (normal admission prices). 11am – 4pm. Kestle Mill, near Newquay.

Paradise Park
Fairies and Pirates welcome at the fancy dress week. Fun family quiz trail with treats at the end. Wildlife Park with otter and penguin feeding and indoor play centre.

‘Love Wildlife’
Learn how to attract wildlife to your garden, make hanging treats, a bug hotel and follow the hibernation trail. Lost Gardens of Heligan, 10am – 5pm,

‘Survival’
Half term activities including learning how to trek to find food and water, make shelters and start a fire. Daily storytelling plus an ice rink. Eden Project, Bodleva.

Build and Fly a Kite

Mud Fest!
Enjoy outdoor activities, including welly wanting and a magical pinkie puddle path. 10am – 4pm, Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Gweek.

Trebah Gardens
Get creative with recycling and make a ‘Recycled Robot’ at the drop in workshop. 11am – 2pm, £2 + normal entrance fee.

17 – 19 February

Bushcraft for kids

Family Scrub and Spuds

Launceston Family Food Fun Day
Food stalls, cooking demos, cupcake decorating, face painting and more 10am – 4pm, Free entry.
